It uses 416-R stainless steel with 5R button rifling and is chambered in .223 Wylde for optimized accuracy with 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington ammo. Salt bath nitride finish inside and out improves barrel life and corrosion resistance. The barrel has a 1:8 twist rate, 1/2-28 muzzle threads, a mid-length gas system, and an 11-degree recessed target crown.
