    Different and wonderful!

Posted by CJ Ryan on Nov 27th 2025

This is not my first Grand Power nor shall it be my last! It is also one of the only striker fire rotating barrel handgun models available making it unique in the handgun world. Pros: It comes with four back straps, not three! The handgun also has three magazines included, not one or two! (Attention to simple details can make a difference). The flat trigger is excellent on its take up and clean break. Reset is very tactile and medium in travel. I find it one of the best striker-fire triggers from a manufacturer... But that's my opinion. I do not judge triggers measuring with a trigger pull gauge. How does it feel when I am shooting is what matters. The weapon balances nicely in my hand. It it may appear top heavy at first until you fire the handgun. It is not snappy as compared to other striker fire handguns. I find it easy to shoot and accurate with its three dot factory sights. If you are an experienced shooter you will notice the difference! The 3.7 inch barrel shoots more like a full length 4 1/4 inch. I also appreciate the European styling as compared to other contemporary handguns from major manufacturers. I also have CZs and Berettas in my collection but I really appreciate Grand Power...I have 9 handguns in my collection including the P40L (10mm) and 2 - 22lr (K22 and the K22 X-Trim). I'm pretty sure you can guess that I'm going to recommend this handgun as a buy!

    GRAND POWER Q1 MK12

Posted by CJ on Nov 26th 2025

Pros: Fit and finish first class. I find balance in my hands is Excellent. Trigger break and reset solid with almost imperceivable creep before break. The rotating Barrel does make a difference in felt recoil. Not just for me. I have had others shoot the handgun and they can tell a difference. Great shooting striker fire handgun! I have shot 400 rounds of Winchester, Remington and Magtech 115 gr Range ammo. Shooting is a pleasure. I own seven Grand Power rotating Barrel handguns and this will be the eighth in my collection . All I can say is, thank you Grand Power for a another fantastic handgun!

Bought this bc of the price, but once I shot it I liked it very much. Smooth shooter, comes back on point very quickly. I imagine I will be looking at other GP items in the future

    Good Value

Posted by Justin H on Jan 9th 2025

Just to preface - I have not fired the weapon yet. In terms of value - I mean for $300, you can’t go wrong. It’s bigger than you would think. Maybe slightly larger than and as bulky as a G19 since that’s what everything is compared to. It seems well made. No rattles, slide play, or exterior tooling or machine marks. I haven’t opened it up yet to examine its build quality from the inside. It racks easy and has a great trigger for a brand new weapon. It’s definitely a fully-cocked striker design unlike a Glock. It’s fully ambi, which I like. It was absolutely slimy from the factory. I’ve never seen a firearm so completely coated in grease. It makes me wonder about its rust resistance but who knows. Overall, I’m happy with it. It has a novel lock up, internal extractor and is made in a country that you don’t see often, so it’s a novel and ‘exotic’ but affordable European pistol. It comes with three mags, which is a nice touch. I’d probably opt for the newer Q1S for the smaller size and grippier slide but I am excited to get out to the range.

    Grand Power Q1

Global Ordnance has a killer price on these Mk12 Q1's. There are are so many things to like about this pistol...Two things I love are the grips and how the gun feels in my hand, the other is a fantastic trigger it's smooth with a great pull weight and clean break. The folks at GO are great to deal with.

    Q1

In a sea of polymer striker 9mm, the Q1 is different. Quirky but a good 9mm.

    Grand Power Q1 MK 12

Posted by Artie on Oct 19th 2024

This is my second Grand Power pistol. I love my K100 so I wanted to try a striker version. What a steal for $299.00! Mine came with a Mk 23 style rear sight so I was even happier when I opened the box. The trigger is easily the best in its class. Super accurate, reliable, and fun to shoot! My new favorite.

Outstanding pistol. Rotating barrel allows quick follow up shots. Worked flawlessly with all types of ammo. Sights will be replaced as soon as I can find a fiber optic front sight for it.
