The PS-31 Binocular Night Vision Device (BNVD) is a compact, lightweight, dual tube goggle designed to replace the legacy PS-15. It features Gen 3 auto-gated green phosphor image intensifier tubes with 40 degree field of view, 1X magnification, and a waterproof IP65 rating. The device has independently pivoting tube housings to allow binocular or monocular configuration and a matte black corrosion resistant, fiber reinforced polycarbonate body. Powered by a CR123 battery with 60 hours battery life, it is designed to increase system resolution, reduce weight, and improve operator situational awareness.
