The Dragonfly has been a mainstay of the Spyderco product line for decades and still sets the standard when it comes to packing serious cutting performance into a compact package that offers a four-fingered grip. This unique expression of it showcases a blade crafted from CPM SPY27, a state-of-the-art powder metallurgy steel that supercharges the cobalt-enriched chemistry of VG-10 stainless steel with niobium, nitrogen, and increased volumes of carbon, molybdenum, and vanadium. Developed in close cooperation with Crucible Industries and exclusive to Spyderco, it offers an exceptional balance of edge retention, toughness, corrosion resistance, and ease of sharpening. The satin-finished, full-flat-ground PlainEdge blade of this Dragonfly 2 takes full advantage of these properties and is paired with a lightweight fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle injection molded in a distinctive cobalt blue one of the signature handle colors of Spyderco's elite SPY27 family of knives. The handle also houses the knife's sturdy back lock mechanism and a reversible deep-pocket wire pocket clip that provides a choice of left or right-side tip-up carry.
