This is not my first Grand Power handgun in my collection. I do own the K22 model and it has been a fantastic 22LR handgun. Wanted to move up to the X-Trim... I am glad I did! The trigger is excellent as anticipated. Take up is smooth and easy, break is clean and consistent without creep. I think reset is not extremely short but medium in travel length. With its 5 inch barrel it is extremely accurate and easy shooting with minimal felt recoil impulse in my hand. Racking of the slide is amazing! So smooth and easy! (I compared the Walther P22Q 5" and the Taurus TX-22 5" Competition... much heavier recoil springs). I tested the pistol with Remington, Federal, Armscor, Aquila and CCI in 36, 38 and 40 grain. It fired 500 rounds flawlessly... We shall see after several thousand rounds. A big bonus is the CDI Factor is high (chicks dig it). It is certainly different looking from other 22 handguns. This is a recommended buy!

Wow! Another fantastic firearm from Grand Power! Let me get to the meat of the review. First thing out of the box I took it to the range and immediately started testing different types of ammunition. Remington, Winchester, Aguila, Browning, Federal and Armscor in 36, 38 and 40 grain. 400 rounds later. I am a very happy person! No malfunctions at this time. Let's start off with fit and finish... Simply wonderful as always from Grand Power. Trigger has medium take up and break is crisp and clean. Trigger reset is forceful and audible. The tabs on the sides of the magazines definitely help making them easy to reload, no reloader necessary. Three magazines, not two.... Thank you Grand Power. Slide operation is smooth and easy! No more needs to be said! Very impressive. This x trim is most definitely a competition oriented handgun! I already own a K22 MK12 handgun that has performed flawlessly. This is one step better. I have compared this to a Taurus TX-22 5-in competition and a 5-in Walther. There is a difference and the Grand Power comes out on top in my opinion. Everything in the description on the website is correct. And the plastic storage cases is very nice as compared to some other companies that give you cardboard storage box. Thank you global ordinance for importing these wonderful firearms. This is a recommended buy! (The handgun looks great itting next to my Excalibur at the range)

Love the way it shoots. Grips like my Xcaliber. Needs a good ammo like CCI MINI MAG.

Excellent quality, sights dead on out of the box. Mine ran high velocity cci and the cheap stuff with zero issues!

Great shooting pistol. Very accurate with a great trigger. Trigger is crisp with a quick reset. Sights are very nice too with the fiber optic front and fully adjustable rear blacked out sight. Overall very satisfied

I have been impressed with the Grand Power K22 X-Trim. The quality surpasses most other similar pistols, with a crisp trigger release and a steel slide - unlike almost all other .22LR pistols that use either aluminum or cast material for the slide. The owners manual leaves a bit to be desired, but Global Ordinance was easy to reach with information about switching the supplied backstraps and small safety levers. I have almost a dozen different .22 pistols of this type, but I would say the K22 is the highest quality.

I already own the GP Excalibur in 9mm, so I thought this would be a good companion pistol. Layout is the same although this pistol is substantially lighter and doesn't have the rotating barrel. Like it's big brother it has excellent adjustable sights, an outstanding trigger and nice ergonomics. I've put about 100 rounds through it so far. Only issue I've had is that it does not cycle CCI standard velocity ammo particularly well. On a number of occasions the slide did not completely cycle and therefore didn't pick up the next round from the mag. On a few occasions it failed to re-cock the hammer. Ran it right out of the box, so I'm hoping a thorough cleaning and re-lube, plus some break in will solve the problem. Did shoot about 50 CCI Mini-Mags, which have a higher velocity (and after I cleaned and lubed) and the gun ran great.

I have the Grand Power P1 Ultra so I knew what excellent guns they produce. I have an 35 year old Browning Buck Mark and decided it was time to update my .22 stock. I picked up this beauty last night and was able to put a few rounds thru it. Magnificent! It is truly the Excalibur in .22. Same trigger, same fiber optic front sight- super stoked about this little jewel! Further, my customer service experience could not have been finer. Super fire arm and super importer!
